Capcom recently released an original DS-based adventure game in Japan. While the popular Gyakuten Saiban (Phoenix Wright)
series puts its player in control of an attorney, in Kabu Trader Shun
the player assumes control over stock broker Shun Aiba. The young,
bright man wants to follow in the footsteps of his father Ippei, a
legendary broker. In order to achieve this lofty aim, Tooru Narasaki,
one of the country's top brokers, has become Shun's teacher. Another
student of Tooru's is Hanako Kirikagura. The self-confident girl's
family has built a large securities company. Hanako has strong feelings
for Tooru. Yamabue is a veteran trader, who used by to be famous.
Recently he has moved to the brokerage where the protagonist is
working. The real intention behind this move however is unknown.Kabu Trader Shun
features an adventure part and a brokerage part. The former allows Shun
to freely walk around the city, gather information and do some
shopping. In the latter Shun must try and successfully complete
Narasaki's various challenges, for instance by engaging in stock
trading with other brokers.Kabu Trader Shun has been available in Japan since June 7th.
